Fernando Rivas-Manzaneque is the CEO and co-founder of Volinga AI, a company building professional tools for creating, editing and rendering 3D Gaussian Splatting for film and virtual production. Fernando initiated the early research that later led to the creation of Volinga as a spin-off, with the goal of turning cutting-edge 3D capture technology into practical tools for real production environments.
Today, through products such as Volinga Suite and its plugin for Unreal Engine, his team works with studios and technology partners to bring Gaussian Splatting into real filmmaking workflows — enabling productions to capture real locations and use them as digital sets in real time.
